Indigo airlines comes up with new invention with its “Neo fuel” efficient jets

An Indian low-cost airline indigo has taken a big step by purchasing, 150 Airbus A320neo fuel-efficient jets. It is the considered one of the biggest deal in commercial aviation history. The affirmative feature of Airbus is that it is environmental-friendly that condense utilization of fuel to 15 percent. Airbus is re-designing their popular jet by making it lucrative fuel-efficient plane. The body of the aircraft remains more or less same with minor design changes. A new wingtip device called "sharklets," is been attached to it, which reduce drag avoiding wastage of fuel.

The NEO Airbus, fuel savings is equal to 1.4 million liters of fuel per aircraft, which evidently will diminish up to 3,600 ton of carbon dioxide every year. This airbus invented by indigo is ready to take off in year 2016.The invention of exclusive feature in Indian low-cost airline indigo may lead to high demand in market of greener air as the research is already going on to make commercial airlines eco friendly.

Few commercial airlines instead of experimenting with other fuel saving substitutes such as Electric, Solar, Fuel-cell, Bio-fuels and Turbo are coming up with other greener methods for cost effective plane. Simply by slowing down the plane, reducing loads, changing routes, and landing adjustment can be done to save fuel.

According to the estimation of centre for Asia pacific aviation India’s domestic air traffic grew more than 19 percent last year in the month of November, with 4.9 million passengers flying. Airlines adopting greener options due to increase in rate can help in reducing the carbon footprints. The airline Indigo also plans to build more efficient small aircraft within the time period of 15 years.
